Ngāti Ranginui Iwi Society Incorporated is a marae-mandated Rūnanga based in Tauranga. We deliver a range of social, cultural and environmental programmes focused on enhancing and promoting the wellbeing of people and communities.

We are seeking to appoint a highly strategic and entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer to lead the business on the next stage of its evolution. The new CEO must have the capacity to work across the multi-dimensional demands of the role with ease and ensure the core business is performing whilst also offering capability in innovation, new thinking and social enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of entrepreneurial and social sector delivery and will be skilled in navigating complex stakeholder environments. Strong leadership is important, as is a customer orientation, and a relentless focus on execution.
We are looking for someone with strong personal integrity who can demonstrate strong financial acumen, with the judgement to deliver innovation through measured risk-taking and effective decision making.  It is essential to have a strong understanding of kaupapa Māori delivery of services.  Excellence in Tikanga Māori me Te Reo Rangatira is highly sought.

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive will continue to build and strengthen the Rūnunga team, while growing social enterprise activities, strengthening relationships and ensuring smooth service delivery.  The CEO must feel confident working across Government and the NGO sector and within Iwi and Hapū.

The preferred candidate will have a Business or Management Qualification and previous experience.

Applications for this role close at 4pm on 5 February 2018.
