Ngāti Ranginui Iwi Society Incorporated held their Annual General Meeting on Sunday at Tuapiro Marae in Katikati. Due to the current COVID restrictions and to allow for distancing, we had to limit the amount of whānau that could attend our AGM in person.
However, we were able to provide a livestream of the AGM on our Ngāti Ranginui Facebook page thanks to the awesome skills of Papa George Burt.
You can still watch the recording of the AGM livestream through the link below and access our Annual Report on our Ranginui website.

20/12/2021

If you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, you can request an official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status – My Vaccine Pass. Your Vaccine Pass will allow you to visit places, businesses and events in Aotearoa that require proof of your vaccination status when the Traffic Light system starts on Friday.
There are a number of ways you can get your vaccine pass:
  • If you have access to internet, and have ID please visit: www.mycovidrecord.nz
  • If you have problems accessing a computer, providing ID or have a temporary medical exemption, please call us on 0800 222 478.
  • Pharmacies providing COVID-19 vaccinations will also be able to assist people with getting a vaccine pass.
  • You can also have your vaccine pass issued via post.
If you need some awhi with the vaccine pass you can also come to the Iwi office. We can print and laminate it if you need. Come see or call Kylie at the office on 571 0934. You could also get the vaccine pass sorted for nan and koro, and then flick the certificate to Kylie for printing 👍

Getting vaccinated will help protect yourself, your whānau, and our rohe, and also make sure you aren't turned away from being able to visit retail, hospitality venues, events and other public places. Visit the Kei a koe website for a vaccination service in your hapori, or find a wider range of vaccination services on the Karawhiua website.

Preparing to care for COVID-19 positive whānau in our rohe

20/12/2021

With COVID-19 cases now regularly showing up in our rohe, it's important for whānau to be prepared for when a family member becomes sick with the virus. Health Navigator have produced an information kit that will be vital for whānau who are COVID-19 positive and isolating from home. It covers important topics such as;
  • how to manage and monitor your symptoms,
  • how to care for children,
  • how to use a pulse oximeter in adults and children,
  • how to support mental wellbeing,
  • returning to physical activity and exercise after you recover and much more.
The Health Navigator website also reduces the barrier to access this vital information having made it a sponsored data (Zero-rated) website – that means anyone can access the website without using any data. You can visit their COVID-19 Community Care page here or download an interactive PDF with links to each of the topics below.
