With the launch of the Ngāti Ranginui app, 'Te Whare Korokī', the Mauri Ora team invite you to take this opportunity to get your whānau out and about to reconnect with Ngāti Ranginui Iwi marae and incorporate a bit of physical activity along the way.
The whakataetae starts the day of the Te Whare Korokī app launch (Friday 30th July) and finishes Friday 3rd September, five weeks later. Check out the whakataetae below and see how you might be able to win some wicked iwi merchandise for you and your whānau. The kaupapa of this challenge is for whānau to be more proactive with their taha tinana, taha whānau, and taha wairua and to enable Ngāti Ranginui uri to reconnect through visiting our marae. Encourage your whānau members – tamariki, friends, cousins, aunties, uncles, even nan and koro – to join in and take part. On arrival, complete an exercise together in the hope that this could spark some kōrero about your marae and pass on pūkenga one might not know about. If you need some help with kōrero about the marae, simply open your TE WHARE KOROKĪ app! The Whakataetae is simple:
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you write your name and those involved as well as the category they enter. For example: Te Aihe Toma, Tāne. Categories for entries are:
Once we see you have completed 5 marae, the Mauri Ora team will add you and those that were involved into a draw to win some wicked Ngāti Ranginui Iwi merchandise to be announced Friday 3rd September 2021.
